Medicaid (Title XIX ) of the Social Security Act for low-income people is a federally funded entitlement program. Each state has Medicaid program with different eligibility requirements and out-of-pocket expenses. Find out if you are qualified by clicking on your state.

State DDS Programs
Each state provides free dental care by volunteered dentist for either physically challenged, elderly or medically compromised who have no other way to pay dental care.  To find the program in your state, please click on this link.

 Dental School
Dental school can provide dental care for a slight fee or free of charge on some occasions.  Be prepare to wait for an extended period as the waiting list is rather long.

Health Centers
The federal-funded health center provides dental service to patients who pay what they can afford and based on the patient's income. To locate a health center near you, click here and enter your address.

Free Medical/Dental Clinics
A collection of free medical/dental clinics in each state.  Some are for low-income people, homeless, particular to local populations, and some may charge a small fee.  Read the list on this site

State Oral Health Programs

Dental Lifeline Network
Dental Lifeline Network is a donated program by local dentists.  Eligibility for this program include:

  • Permanent disable
  • Medically at-risk 
  • 65 years old or older

Patient Financing
Patients finance through the third party. Your dentist must participate with the third party that has patient financing package, e.g., Care Credit, SpringStone.  


 State Dental Association
Each state has a dental association.  Call to see if there is any volunteer programs or free dental clinics in the state you reside.
